About

I’m Matthew Foutch (AE4JC) — a Senior Manufacturing Engineer with a multi-decade career in real, hands-on process engineering: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, project management, VA/VE training, and the everyday discipline of making a process actually work on the floor, not just on paper.

This site is a small, deliberate trial. I have a lot of real engineering and management knowledge worth sharing — process discipline, lean thinking, and the practical habits that separate good engineering from good intentions — but no home for it yet that fit the audience: engineers and managers, not hobbyists. My other two sites are scoped elsewhere (ae4jc.com is ham radio, solvetheuniverse.com is physics theory), so this one exists to test whether this kind of content is worth building out further.

What to expect: short, practical pieces grounded in real experience — not theory for its own sake. What this isn’t (yet): a large, built-out site. It starts small on purpose, and grows only if it earns that.
